First impression after putting the new intercooler in was that the boost was alot smoother. The waste gate isnt struggling to hold a constant pressure anymore. After a quick log with the Street Tuner software I am getting a good 30 degree drop in intake temps wich is allways a good thing. I have yet to run into any heatsoak, but it did get a little colder out. It’ll be intresting to see how it will work in the summer.

Stock WRX splitter VS APS 02-03 STI Splitter. The APS unit is supposedly THE biggest one on the market. I wasent sure if it was going to fit properly on my 05 WRX since it was designed for the 02-03, but it pretty much bolted right up. The two bottom screws didnt go in straight but they went in. I’m very happy with the splitter, its the perfect fit.


Bending AC Lines out of the way. They are suprisingly maleable (sp?). Nothing a rubber mallet couldnt handle.

Driver side bracket bolts up. Probably should get a washer on there.

Passenger side bracket dosent line up but Ryan @ Area1320 is gonna make a bracket up for me one of these days. Maybe even make the bracket lower so the hood dosent rest on the tmic.

AC Line Clearance, still gonna get some radiator hose to slip on there just in case.
